To run with the momentum of the Super Bowl excitement, Nimblist worked with Nike to create an interactive environment called Unleash Speed. The event, which was held in Nike’s Hall of Innovation at Moynihan Station, included art installations to showcase athletic wear, with a particular emphasis on Nike footwear. A variety of vignettes were designed to highlight the history of Nike’s training shoes, their new and unique Flyknit material, and the Vapor Carbon II Cleat.
With the theme of speed in mind, an interactive Speed Track was designed and constructed to film participants in real time as they sprinted the 40 yard dash. Guests were then able to take home a video of their 40 yard sprint that they could share to social media.
Our team was responsible for creating lighting design emphasizing displayed products with a minimal approach but a powerful payoff. Nimblist also worked in tandem with ATOMIC to conceptualize and create the interactive speed track. The experience was a memorable one, with guests of all kinds taking part in this unique opportunity.
